Darryl Anders built a reputation as a solid sideman before stepping up as a bandleader. With an impeccable sense of time, tone and a pocket a mile-deep his groove has been demanded by funk and soul legends Tower of Power, Zigaboo Modeliste, Booker T. Jones, as well as Grammy-winning songwriter Bonnie Hayes and two-time Grammy-nominee Ledisi.
AgapéSoul’s debut album, Believe in Love, showcases Anders’ musical vision as a songwriter. The album’s seven original songs and two covers are deeply soulful, uniquely classic, and speak to “the place of love that’s in all of us.”
